Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!
It's winter in the Tri-Cities again, so we needed something to do while it's too cold and snowy to skate. So what did we do? We started a blog, like any other self-righteous skater would!
If you are wondering what this is all about, then you probably came here in error. It's all about skateboarding! All of us share a love and passion for skateboarding, so we plan on exposing every nook and cranny from many different perspectives and locales to try and flesh out what skateboarding is. For some of us, it's a lifestyle, and for others, it's a hobby. One thing is certain: we all do this amazing thing that involves friends and a piece of wood with metal and wheels fastened to it.
Skateboarding has always had this culture of mystery around it. It has always seemed foreign to those who are not engaged in it, and too abstract for the skateboarder to explain. As you probably have figured out by now, skateboarding encompasses more than just riding on your skateboard and trying to perform maneuvers. I know skateboarders that body-build or design buildings and have no desire to ever step on a board again...but skateboarding becomes imprinted on the soul. It is less of a sport and more of an approach to life. It is communal, but individual as well. Public, yet so very personal. Fun, and very stressful and upsetting. Organized, but scattered in its function. We invite you to help us paint this picture or write this story of what skateboarding is! Come back and comment, get involved, drop us a line, keep us up to date what you and your crew are up to, or just enjoy the fun! Come skate with us! No, seriously, we want to skate!
